Austasia commenced operation as a real estate brokerage business from a home in Taal, Batangas, Philippines in November 2008 (originally trading as a sole proprietorship – Premium Real Estate Brokerage) with Thelma Hebberd as the proprietor and Licensed Real Estate Broker.

Thelma’s reputation as an honest and hard working Broker spread quickly and she soon had more listings than she felt comfortable handling by herself. Her good friend, Ma. Theresa Calugas, offered to assist her and also to train sales agents for her so that Thelma could expand her business.

Thelma’s husband, Ellis, had already spent more than 37 years in real estate in Australia selling properties from single lots to multi-million dollar commercial and resort properties and had managed sales teams for more than 25 years. It seemed logical that he should also join forces with the planned team as Marketing advisor and so a new company – Austasia REAL ESTATE Inc. was born. The corporate name reflects Ellis’ experience in Australia (where many of the properties will be marketed, together with numerous other countries worldwide).

An office was found in Lemery Shopping Center, adjacent to the Citimart Supermarket, and Thelma and Ellis set about renovating it with the help of Thelma’s nephew Rey and brother Eddie. What was a very grubby tenancy soon became an office to be proud of and it was opened for business in early Jan 2009.

The main concentration of the sales team will be in the Taal / Lemery and surrounding areas. They have already been accredited to market several subdivisions in the area as well as Subdivisions, Condotels and resort developments in Bauan, Batangas City, Lipa City, Balayan, Tagaytay, and Matabungkay.

The name ‘Austasia’ has fast become synonymous with ‘Real Estate’ and Thelma and Ellis aim to ensure that the name is only associated with quality service, honesty and integrity and very importantly – RESULTS!
